The Missions Team facilitates opportunities for the people of The Emmaus Community to serve the local, national and international community. Missions Team members typically; work with the Pastor to initiate and plan outreach projects and events; develop communication materials to update the TEC family about its collection mission efforts; and work with the Pastor to equip, inform and prepare TEC volunteers for mission efforts.

Since 2007, The Emmaus Community has participated in several local and global missions/outreach activities. They have included the following:

The Emmaus Community runs overnight PADS site at New Life Baptist Church, Chicago Heights, the first Monday of every month, October

The Emmaus Community hosts PADS guests on Christmas day, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, activities and gifts, Chicago Heights.

Habitat For Humanity International 2012
14 members from The Emmaus Community built a home for a family in Cape Town, South Africa inpartnership with Habitat for Humanity, Cape Town.
